The newly built Student house Valla at Linköping University is an addition that ties together the campus area and provides students, researchers and staff a common meeting place. The new building gathers several service functions that makes into a natural hub on the campus. Here you will find a reception, meeting and study rooms, a restaurant and a café, and a brand new library.
Gustafs have contributed with production and installation of our wood panels at several locations in the new environment. The site-built study rooms are made out of Gustafs wood panels in ash, both on the inside and outside. In the ceilings our acoustic wood panels have been installed which contributes to a harmonious acoustic environment to study in.
On the entrance floor we have installed our wood panels produced in a maroon shade which covers large areas of the public spaces. The panel is produced with oak veneer that has been stained with the reddish-brown hue that recurs many times in the building as well as on the facade.
