Turebergshuset is a fifteen-storey building in Sollentuna, northwest of Stockholm. The building is Sollentuna’s Town Hall and houses the municipal administration and library. It was built in the mid-1970s, but has now undergone a complete renovation with a strong focus on sustainability and reduced energy consumption, and has been given a brand new entrance pavilion in wood and glass.
Plain and perforated Gustafs panels in ash veneer have been installed on the walls in the entrance area with reception, elevators and access to the library, as well as inside and outside Sollentunasalen, the building’s largest meeting room.
Inside Sollentunasalen, where the Town Council holds its sittings, the panels cover all the walls and pillars, including an intriguing ‘pleated’ wall.
