Ribs and panels part of a harmonious palette

GLOBAL YET LOCAL

NIBE is an international manufacturer of energy-efficient and sustainable climate solutions, such as heat pumps, water heaters and ventilation systems, for all types of buildings. The company is based in Markaryd in southern Sweden, where their head office and factories are located.

Earlier this year, they opened the doors to World of Energy – their new marketing and education centre. The building houses exhibitions about the company’s history, innovations and various business areas, as well as educational facilities and meeting places for customers and employees.

SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS

The focus of the development has been on sustainability and the use of natural materials, and the property has been built to the highest environmental standard in the Environmental Building Gold certification. The façade is dominated by light brick, black sheet metal and large glass sections – which are also reflected in the interior of the large entrance atrium.

Gustafs Linear Ribs and plain panels in ash veneer have been installed throughout the 5,500 m² building, mainly on the walls but also in pitched ceilings. In addition, Gustafs Lamellow+ has been installed in one of the building’s elevators, also in ash veneer.
