The Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium is the home of Wisła Kraków, one of Poland’s most historic and successful football clubs, founded in 1906. The stadium was built in 1953, but several renovations and additions have taken place since then and it currently holds over 33,000 spectators. The biggest reconstruction took place between 2003-2011, when four brand new stands and a media pavilion were built.
The round media pavilion is commonly known as Okrąglak, a Polish word for a cylindrical building that originates from a norm-breaking and style-setting modernist building in Poznań built in the 1950s, designed by architect Marek Leyman.
The media pavilion, located in the south-west corner of the stadium, has two floors, with the ground floor housing, among other things, the mixed zone where players and managers give interviews to journalists, a kitchen, toilets and various technical rooms. On the second floor is a large conference room for about 200 people.
In the building, Gustafs panels with rotary-cut birch veneer have been installed on walls and ceilings, both plain and perforated acoustic panels.
