Oregone pine in healthcare centre

PANELS IN OREGONE PINE

Gustafs wood panels in oregone pine veneer are installed in the hospital building. The old hospital building from 1908 have gained new life in a mix of glass and wood. Only the outer walls are left with new profiled windows.

CO-OPERATION WITH IN-SIGN

Together with our Danish partner, In-sign, we have manufactured and delivered interior panels to the project that will promote the well-being of the patients.

A Danish counselling centre harnesses the benefits of wood.

Wood was one of the most important materials at Hejmdal Cancer Patients House in Aarhus where the brief was to create a calming space which could provide a retreat away from the clinical facilities of the adjoining hospital. Architects Gehry Partners and Danish-based practice Cubo collaborated on the design, inserting two new levels and a glass roof into the twentieth century building, with Gustafs’ Oregon pine veneer panels playing a key role in making this interior a homely retreat.
