SHADES OF OAK

A School Where Architecture Inspires

Glöstorpsskolan is a middle and secondary school in Gothenburg, Sweden. It has a capacity of 720 pupils and was opened in the fall of 2021.

Throughout the school – from corridors to canteen – Gustafs Linear Rib-R in varying dimensions and different shades of oak veneer is mounted on the walls, creating a warm, structured and acoustically balanced environment.

Adding to the visual identity of the school, several walls are adorned with stunning intarsia artworks by artist Emma Löfström, seamlessly blending art, craftsmanship and education into the everyday experience of the pupils.
