The new music school in Rødovre, Denmark, has been built adjacent to the city’s existing cultural centre, Viften, which was established in 1989. The large music hall in the building has been acoustically optimised for both music performances and other events.
The Gustafs acoustic panels have been installed on the walls of the room. To create both good absorption and reflection in the room, every other row of panels has been installed like boxes that stand out from the previous row. The panels are installed with an open joint and a mix of smooth wooden panels and PH8-perforated acoustic panels has been chosen.
The panels have been crafted with a stunning Oregon Pine veneer that gives each panel an identity, yet creates a sense of unity to the great room.
