During its 20 years, the Ångström laboratory has constantly grown. A pleasant problem that led to a decision to expand the premises for its research and educational environment in physics, chemistry and engineering. The last building to be completed was building 10. The new building serves as a new entrance to the department and welcomes students, researchers and staff with a magnificent atrium. The building also houses several classrooms, lecture theatres and workrooms.
We at Gustafs have contributed interior panels to large parts of the new building. In the atrium, our RP8 acoustic panel wraps all the walls in a beautiful bamboo veneer and with a white painted finish. The staircase that elegantly glides through the floors is also clad in our panels, along with the beautifully carved banister in solid bamboo .
Adjacent to the atrium, cube-shaped study rooms have been incorporated. All cube shapes are clad in bamboo panels. The bamboo track spreads further into the building to the 3 auditoriums in the space. Our acoustic panels have been installed there, combined with black painted panels.
