Mix and match rib widths, depths, and materials without technical compromise. Combine the soft, textile texture of Feltfon Ribs with the elegant, natural wooden surfaces of our veneered gypsum Ribs to create distinctive linear patterns and visual variation. The integrated F-line linear LED profiles align perfectly within the system for seamless illumination. The Capax MIX system also supports both Feltfon Acoustic Baffles and fully veneered Blayde Baffles, enabling flexible grill or baffle ceiling designs. A high-performance and robust ceiling system — fully demountable, precisely aligned, and remarkably user-friendly.

SPACINGS

Spacings

The centre-to-centre (cc) measurements in the Capax system are fixed — 62, 93, 124, 155, 186 mm, and so on. These values define the distance between the centre lines of each profile.

What changes is the visible gap between the products. The spacing depends on the widths of the selected ribs, baffles, blayde or lighting profiles — and how you choose to combine them. By matching product widths with the fixed cc measurements, you can design your own rhythm and visual balance within the ceiling layout.

Before you start the installation

Plan

Select Ribs on colour shade and plan your ceiling installation, we recommend mixing varying shades randomly.

Room temperature

The room temperature should be between 18-50 C°.

Humidity

The air humidity should be between 25-60%. The humidity in the under laying construction (concrete) should not be higher than 15%.

Step by step guide

STEP 1

1. Suspend the Nonius ceiling hangers from the ceiling. Plan the positioning of the Nonius according to steps 3 and 4. ↓

STEP 2

2. Use the adapter NONIUS-CD to connect the BASE-CF profile to the ceiling hangers.

STEP 3

3. Suspend the BASE-CF profiles with a repeated interval of 600 mm, measured from the centrums of the profiles (cc).

4. Measured along the length of the BASE-CF, the connection to the ceiling must be made every 600 mm .

B = 600 mm

STEP 5

5. Level the height using a laser and secure the hanger with the Nonius-CD with the locking pin.

STEP 6

6. Secure the position of the NONIUS-CD by bending the 2 wings and the long leg of the locking pin.

STEP 7

7. When needed, connect the BASE-CF in-line with profile 3263 and assure the cc distance between the fixation points remains constant. Increase the friction between the engaging components by slightly twisting one corner inwards, on each BASE-CF.

STEP 8

8. Snap the distance profile 3262 perpendicular to the BASE-CF every 1200 mm.

STEP 9

9. Two distance profiles Capax 3262 will partially run parallel, where mounted on the same BASE-CF.

10. Install Acoustex-15 insulation or Acoustex-9 felt onto the ”T” section of the BASE-CF.

11. Up to this point, the installation is the same for all products, but for additional steps, please refer to each specific product.

STEP 12

12. Use 5 pcs of U-FIX-CF-80 per 2400 mm length with a maximum cc interval of 600 mm.

A = 600 ± 10 mm

STEP 13

13. The ribs can be installed with spacing of 24 mm, 86 mm, or 148 mm. The spacing can be increased in increments of 62 mm.

STEP 14

14. Attach the Linear Ribs to the BASE-CF carrier, starting in position A.

You must hear 3 ”clicks” to finalize the attachment.

STEP 15

15. The in-line connection of 2 linear products should be secured by having two U-FIX clips attached to one BASE-CF profile.

STEP 16

16. The end of a linear product must not protrude unsupported more than max 200 mm.

Optionally, ad Acoustex-9, in the colour of choice, inside the BASE-CF.

GUSTAFS LIGHTING

Linear LED lighting

Gustafs F-LINE light fixtures are designed in harmony with our Gustafs Linear products.

Gustafs F-Line R and F-line C can be installed in between Blayde baffles.

Wood

Wood is a natural product and each veneer is unique. Colour, pattern and structural differences are considered as normal and a part of the décor. Select panels and ribs on colour shade and plan your wall or ceiling installation, we recommend mixing varying shades randomly. Wood changes over time when exposed to UV-light.

Conditions for Storage, Installation and Use

Only for indoor use and not in wet rooms. Storage, Installation and Use at 18-50 C° and 25-60% air humidity. The humidity in the under laying construc-tion (concrete) should not be higher than 15%. Gustafs solutions are sensitive to humidity and water, therefore they should always be stored dry and in-door.

Storage & Transportation

– Do not transport unsecured panels.
– Do not stack pallets.
– Keep the packaging closed during storage.
– Lift panels flat, vertically and one at the time.
– Avoid exposure to strong and direct sunlight.

Cleaning

Cleanings is done by dry mop or vacuum. Use synthetic cleaning fluid without ammonia for greasy stains, fruit, wine and coffee. Blood is removed with cold water.

Our UV coated and Laminate surfaces are approved for hospital cleaning products containing up to 70% alcohol.

On building site

– Avoid exposure to strong and direct sunlight.
– Do not expose visible surfaces to sharp objects during installation.
– Do not slide products on each other. Lean panels against a wall for short term storage.
– Protect both non-installed and installed panels and ribs from impact coming from ladders, trolleys, furniture installation, etc, including all other workers and their tools.
