Made with a fire resistant fibre gypsum high density, 1200 kg/m³ core and a natural wooden veneer. An all-natural product.

Acoustics

With a standard installation our Linear Rib gives a large open area of 24% which warrants for a good sound absorption. By increasing the installation interval even higher sound absorptions can easily be achieved. Our acoustic felt, Acoustex is 0,2 mm, and available in black, white and grey.

Fire Reaction

Gustafs Linear Rib System is made for public spaces. The individual parts and the final installation has B-s1,d0 – which means little or no contribution to fire.

Capax is our truly concealed installation system in aluminum which provides you a reliable, quick and cost saving work flow. The ribs and installation fixtures are designed as one system, warranting a perfect aligned result. This will result in a beautiful wood slatted ceiling or wall installation.

Many parameters can be adjusted individually.
The ribs are available in a multitude of thicknesses varying from 13 up to 74 mm. The standard width is 38 mm, 22 mm and 88 mm. The gap between the ribs is 12 mm.

The wooden veneer can be laquered in different sheens from high gloss to a matte oiled look, or pigmented in different coverage.

We do have standard measurements on our Linear Ribs, but we do not want to restrict you. Gustafs Linear Ribs can be customized, pre-fabricated according to your drawings.

Gustafs Linear Rib acoustics

Quality in room acoustics requires a well-balanced combination of absorption and reflection. Gustafs Linears will deliver perfect recipes and provide good sound diffusion too. Simply adjust the room acoustics by varying the spacing. These Helmholtz absorbers are typically used to reduce mid to medium high frequencies.

The fibre gypsum core of Gustafs panels is regarded an inherently none-emitting source of VOCs, just like stone, ceramic, metals, glass and concrete. The panels are also completely impregnation-free and that is why our panels are naturally very low emitting, guaranteeing a healthy room air quality.

We have come a long way and we are proud that our production is certified using 100% renewable energy, that our products are made from 98 percent natural materials and 94 percent recycled materials, and that all wood panels are free from retardants, added formaldehyde or isocyanate binders.

5 natural benefits of the fibre gypsum core

Gustafs Linear Ribs are produced with a high-density, reinforced fibre gypsum core having inherent properties regarding dimension stability, emissions, sustainability, fire safety and acoustics. These 5 fundamental demands in today’s modern building industry effectively eliminate most traditional wood-based alternatives.

Stability

Unaffected by indoor climate changes, fibre gypsum doesn’t bulge, warp or swell – making zero-spaced joints perfectly viable. The ribs will stay stable and straight, with a beautiful end result over their full life time.

Fire Safety

Non-combustible and homogeneous by nature, fibre gypsum doesn’t need chemicals to achieve its fire rating. A Linear Rib with a wood veneer wrapping still consists of 97% fibre gypsum and has a fire classification of B-s1,d0.

Acoustics

Acoustically, the use of wall cladding with a higher density is usually favourable compared to lighter materials. Fibre gypsum-based ribs are heavier than wood-based wall cladding materials and sound waves will not make them vibrate or resonate.

Sustainability

Thanks to the cores high density and low thermal conductivity, the ribs help to maintain room temperature, reducing the need for cooling or heating. Fibre gypsum contains of 94% recycled material. Even better is the fact that 17% of the total content comes from post-consumer recycled material, very important for the certification of buildings.

Emissions

Fibre Gypsum cores are extremely low emitting. One of the reasons is that they are produced without wood binders and automatically without added urea-formaldehyde or isocyanates. Interior Panels and Ribs, containing 97% Fibre Gypsum, will per definition have very low TVOC and formaldehyde emissions.

Challenge us by designing a panel we can’t produce.

Acoustex 0,1 – Acoustic felt for Gustafs Linear System

Black acoustic backing with fire class A2-s1,d0. The anti-tear qualities make the felt suitable for use in schools and other tough environments. Supplied in rolls 1,27×100 m. Thickness 0,1 mm.

Acoustex 0,2 – Acoustic felt for Gustafs Linear System

Our most popular black, grey or white acoustic backing with fire class B-s1,d0. Supplied in rolls 1,2×100 m for black and white, grey comes 1,3×100 m. Thickness 0,2 mm.

Acoustex 3,0 – Acoustic felt for Gustafs Linear System

Acoustic backing in the colours Wool Grey or Anthracite with fire class B-s1,d0. The anti-tear qualities make the felt suitable for use in schools and other tough environments. Supplied in rolls 1,2×25 m. Due to the thickness of 3,0 mm, its form stability allows use with wider spacings between the linear ribs. Contains minimum 50% recycled PET bottles and is approved by all international standards regarding in-door climate emissions.

Acoustex 9,0 – Sturdy acoustic felt for multiple use

Extremely form stable acoustic backing in the colours Wool Grey, Dark Grey or Anthracite with fire class B-s1,d0. Can be used as an individual sound absorber or integral as the acoustic insulation layer behind Gustafs demountable Linear Ceiling-CD system. Supplied in sheets in various formats. Contains minimum 50% recycled PET bottles and is approved by all international standards regarding in-door climate emissions. Thickness 9,0 mm.

Solid wood corner – Corner profile

For a smooth transition, these solid wood corner pieces will be adapted to the design of the corner and the dimensions of the ribs meeting vertically. Comes in the wood specie of choice.

A versatile installation system with many benefits

Capax is our unique aluminum profile installation system that provides you a concealed, reliable, quick and cost saving installation. The Quick-Up assembly system is a user friendly aluminum grid offering installation reliability and a perfect visual result. No tools are needed to assemble the interlocking components. A demountable version is available, ideal when access to the ancillary systems is required.
