Plan

Select Ribs on colour shade and plan your ceiling installation, we recommend mixing varying shades randomly.

Room temperature

The room temperature should be between 18-50 C°.

Humidity

The air humidity should be between 25-60%. The humidity in the under laying construction (concrete) should not be higher than 15%.

Step by step - Wall installation using 2400 mm long Linear Ribs.

STEP 1

1. Attach the Capax BASE-W profiles to the wall every 600 mm with the help of a laser-level. Every rib should be supported by 5 BASE-W profiles with approximately 600 mm in between the supporting points.

STEP 2

2. The holes in the BASE-W profile must always be aligned, also when placing several BASE-W profiles in line.

STEP 3

3. Optionally, install a layer of 17 mm insulation material between the profiles.
Alternatively use 45 mm thick insulation, in that case, add 28 mm battens behind the BASE-W profiles.

STEP 4

4. Optionally, install Acoustex felt with some double-sided tape to keep it in place during the installation. Pre-hole the Acoustex felt by using another BASE-W profile as a template.

STEP 5

5. Attach the Capax U-FIX holder flush to the BASE-W profile, using the prefabricated holes.

STEP 6

6. Twist the U-FIX clips 90° into a perpendicular position in relation to the BASE-W.

STEP 7

7. Attach the Ribs to the U-FIX clips by using a rubber hammer. Use Capax 3253 to support and align vertically installed ribs. If needed, carefully re-align by hitting the ends of the Ribs with a rubber hammer and using a wooden protection block.

STEP 8

8.  In-line connections of ribs should be backed by the U-FIX-N 200 connector or by a sharing U-FIX.
