LINEAR PANELS WITH SOLID WOOD SLATS, FREE SUSPENDED CEILINGS

Gustafs Module System lets you create spaces with stunning wood slatted ceilings. Utilizing real solid wood or veneered plywood ribs, many parameters can be adjusted individually. You can vary the wood specie, the surface finish pigmentation, the dimensions, landscape or portrait slats, the spacings, and the colour of the acoustic backing. Gustafs Module-FS panels can also be used in curved installations. The free suspended installation is concealed and demountable and very suitable to create “clouds”.

Modules with ribs made of solid wood, veneer wrapped MDF or plywood. The Modules are fully assembled and ready to use, including our Acoustex felt.

Modules with solid wood ribs

Design smart and stick to oak, ash, birch and pine ribs in the most common standard dimensions to keep lead times, waste and costs down.

Wood

Available in Elm / Ash / Birch / Beech / American Oak / European Oak / Red Oak/ Mahogany /Pine / Walnut / Others on request.

Surface finish

Change the look of natural wood by using pigmentated lacquers or give it an oiled look by using a super matt finish.

By printing graphics on the top of the ribs you can create some unique.

Our lacquer is a multi-layer UV-cured process available in a range of gloss finishes. Pigmented lacquers are another option.

Please note that colours will give different impressions depending on the type of timber they are applied to.

Gustafs Prints give you a truly freedom in design, you can have your print directly on the ribs surface. Design module by module or spread your graphics over several modules.

A smart choice

Wrapped ribs can be a sustainably and cost saving choice compared to solid wood, especially when it comes to more exclusive or prohibited wood species. Wrapped ribs with a MDF core are form stable and provide good looking in-line joints.

02 FOILS +
02 FOILS

Finish foils are printed special papers enabling surfaces with different degrees of gloss and a variety of decors and wood imitations. Foils can be a cost saving alternative to Nature and Gemini veneers.

03 PAINTED +

After having been wrapped with a white foil, the ribs can be painted in an endless number of colours. You can use any solid colour from the RAL and NCS systems.

Sturdy and straight

Landscape plywood ribs are veneered on one side and portrait ribs have veneer on two sides. The visible plywood edges are a good-looking design feature in combination with various veneers. Plywood is a construction material and allows you to create larger shaped Modules, with baffle like dimensions. The plywood ribs are form stable and precise in their dimensions, resulting in prefect in-line joints.

Standard dimensions for the Gustafs Linear Module ceiling.

L: 1200 mm or 1800 mm, can be customized to shorter lenghts.
*S: The spacing of the ribs is set according to the width of the ribs and will vary according to your design.

The in-line spacing is a minimum of 5 mm.

Fire safety

The module’s fire rating is dependent on the chosen material for the ribs.

Solid Wood ribs

B-s1,d0. Achieved by vacuum impregnation. Optionally included acoustic felts are available from class
B-s1,d0 to A2-s1,d0.

Wrapped ribs

Core class B-s1,d0. We use B-s1,d0 classified MDF. We call it core class as the veneer and the lacquer are not included in the classification. Optionally included acoustic felts are available from class B-s1,d0 to A2-s1,d0.

Plywood ribs

Core class B-s1,d0. We use B-s1,d0 classified Plywood. We call it core class as the veneer and the lacquer are not included in the classification. Optionally included acoustic felts are available from class B-s1,d0 to A2-s1,d0.

With our low emission wood, you can breathe out.
And everyone else can breathe in.

Solid wood is naturally low emitting and the and lacquers used for our Modules are certified NAF systems – No Added urea Formaldehyde. A safe choice.
