Acoustic Panel RP8 Barcode

ACOUSTIC PANELS FOR WALLS AND CEILINGS

Gustafs grooved panels with a stripe perforation will show a less open area compared to our round hole perforations while providing comparable acoustic absorptions. Tonal contrast can be dialled up or down, with either a light- or dark-fibre gypsum core providing the backdrop to a wide choice of timber finishes. Simply select your wood species, the pigmentation and veneer cut and combine with your own installation pattern to create unique expressions of natural interiors.

Material

This is an all-natural product combining high-quality timber veneer and a non-combustible, high-density fibre gypsum core. The RP8 panels can be produced with or without solid timber edge trims.

Fire Safety

Designed for use in public spaces, the finished acoustic panel and the total installation offer the highest possible fire class for wooden panels; A2-s1,d0.

Acoustics

Create an optimal sound environment by combining a selection of Gustafs perforation patterns, each with their own highly calibrated acoustic properties.

01 PANEL COMPOSITION +
01 PANEL COMPOSITION

Our panels are based on a fibre gypsum board with excellent qualities regarding dimensional stability, impact resistance, acoustics, fire-safety and emissions. The unique combination of materials results in a panel suited to the high demands in large public spaces.

02 DISTINCT ABSORPTION +
02 DISTINCT ABSORPTION

Gustafs grooved acoustic panels visually show less open area compared to our hole perforations but give very good acoustic absorptions. Choose between light or dark core.

03 CONTINUOUS PATTERN +
03 CONTINUOUS PATTERN

The Gustafs stripe pattern carries out to the very end of the side of each panel. The last groove hides the joint between two panels and creates a seamless and continuous linear design.

Panels produced according to your drawings

Surfaces

Give our panels your personal touch by endless options regarding veneers, surfaces and laminates.

Core colour

Choose between a light- or dark-fibre gypsum core. For instance, the acoustic pattern will be less noticeable when a dark core is combined with a dark veneer like walnut.

Installation

Our acoustic panels are so much more than cladding. Available in custom formats in lengths up to 3000 and widths up to 1200mm, the panels are installed with Gustafs adored easy-to-use Capax System to secure zero-spaced joints and perfect in-line patterns.

Our unique fire protection

By covering a non-combustible fibre gypsum core with a thin layer of wood, we have created a natural and impregnation-free composition that does not contribute to fire. Thanks to this, all our cladding systems are 100 percent fire-rated, not just parts of the product, and meet all countries’ fire safety requirements.

With our low emission wood, you can breathe out.
And everyone else can breathe in.

The fibre gypsum core of Gustafs panels is regarded an inherently none-emitting source of VOCs, just like stone, ceramic, metals, glass and concrete. The panels are also completely impregnation-free and that is why our panels are naturally very low emitting, guaranteeing a healthy room air quality.

A zero footprint is our target

It’s in our Swedish DNA to do everything we can to reduce the environmental impact of our business. We have come a long way and we are proud that our production is certified using 100% renewable energy, that our products are made from 98 percent natural materials and 94 percent recycled materials, and that all wood panels are free from retardants, added formaldehyde or isocyanate binders.

The 5 natural benefits of our Fibre Gypsum Core

Gustafs panels are produced with a high-density, reinforced fibre gypsum core having inherent properties regarding dimension stability, emissions, sustainability, fire safety and acoustics. These 5 fundamental demands in today’s modern building industry effectively eliminate most traditional wood-based alternatives. Use our dark fibre gypsum core on Stripe RP8 panel to make the holes and grooves less appearing in combination with dark veneers.

KNOWLEDGE HUB / CORE

Stability

Unaffected by indoor climate changes, fibre gypsum doesn’t bulge, warp or swell – making large panels and zero-spaced joints perfectly viable. The end-result will be beautiful and remain so over the full lifetime.

Fire Safety

Non-combustible and homogeneous by nature, fibre gypsum doesn’t need chemicals to achieve its fire rating, remaining safe even with acoustic perforations or when cut. The panel, with wood veneer and solid wood edging, is still 97% fibre gypsum, with a fire classification up to A2-s1,d0.

Acoustics

Acoustically, the use of wall cladding with a higher density is usually favourable compared to lighter materials. Fibre gypsum-based panels are heavier than wood-based wall cladding materials and sound waves will not make them vibrate or resonate.

Sustainability

Thanks to the cores high density and low thermal conductivity, the panels help to maintain room temperature, reducing the need for cooling or heating.
Fibre gypsum contains of 94% recycled material. Even better is the fact that 17% of the total content comes from post-consumer recycled material, very important for the certification of buildings.

Emissions

Fibre Gypsum cores are extremely low emitting. One of the reasons is that they are produced without wood binders and automatically without added urea-formaldehyde or isocyanates. Interior Panels and Ribs, containing 97% Fibre Gypsum, will per definition have very low TVOC and formaldehyde emissions.

Informative or creative signage by intarsia

Intarsia is an ancient decoration method where veneer is cut into different shapes and put back onto Gustafs panels like a puzzle. You can work with different wood species and vary the veneer directions. Today’s intarsia is cut 100% digitally for a perfect result and end-less design options. Intarsia is not suited for graphics spread over several panels. Intarsia designs do not affect the final fire classification.

Informative or creative signage by perforations

To express an image by perforations you first need to digitalize the graphics into dots. Our perforations can vary from 0,5 to 10 mm in diameter and in some extend different hole diameters can be combined in one and the same design. Perforated images can often reach over several panels but please contact us for the guidelines before you start to create. The perforations do not affect the final fire classification our panels.

Informative or creative signage by print

High resolution printed graphics can be applied to all Gustafs panel surfaces and can be combined with acoustic perforations of which the Nano perforations gives the best result. In-house controlled, the printed images can easily be spread over several panels and do not affect the final fire classifications of the panels. Your Print is always sealed and additionally protected by our triple UV coating system, giving it the professional long-lasting finish demanded by public rooms.

A versatile installation system with many benefits

Capax is the name of our inventive installation system. It makes installations quick, durable, concealed and ensures the linear accuracy that is so important working with the RP8 pattern.

Wall installation
