Project Description

Wooden Ceiling Panels In New Shopping Center

The newly opened Kongahälla Center in Kungälv, Sweden, is the most modern shopping center in West Sweden. The new shopping center is part of a new district emerging in the city. Kongahälla Center will be a natural commerce for people living and working in the area.

An environment to thrive in

The architects focus for the interior has been to create rooms where people thrive, that is exactly what a Gustafs panel should permeate. Gustafs wooden panels and timber panels are cladding vast areas of the interior ceilings, and all panels are produced with elm veneer. Much of our work has focused on finding solutions for transitions and verticals between the ceilings and the walls.

Lampshades XXL and Nano perforation

The most eye-catching production for the shopping center has been the massive lampshades hanging down from the rooflights in one of the atriums. The lampshades have also been produced with elm veneer, embellished with a brass strip. The ceiling above the lampshades consists of angled Gustafs acoustic panels with Gustafs Nano perforation
