Project Description

Sound Wave Design On Wooden Wall

Singing walls

We’re always excited too see a project where our products are used for so much more than just covering a wall or a suspended ceiling. Where creativity takes its form in unique installations or through the use of the properties of wood. Sthlm New 04 is such a project. In the building’s lobby, the architects’ inspiration from the music has left its mark through our products. By combining Linear Rib-S in oak and walnut veneer , sound waves have been created to the tunes of two different songs – “Little Star” by Stina Nordenstam and “Human Behavior” by Björk.

The oak ribs have been made in four different depths and the walnut ribs in three different depths, which gives an extra dimension to the design of the wall in the large bright lobby.

Sthlm New 04 is one of several buildings belonging to the newly established office area Sthlm New Creative Business Space, which consists of a total of 100,000 m² of offices with over 6,000 workplaces.
