Linear Plank Capax installation – Wall

The Capax installation system for Linear Plank is a user-friendly aluminium grid, offering installation reliability and a perfect visual result. Demountable options are available.

How to install Gustafs Panels on walls

In order to achieve a fully satisfactory result it is important for the underlay to be well balanced vertically and horizontally. The mineral wool should always be placed close behind the planks.

Before you start your installation

Plan your installation

Select the Planks on colour shade and plan your wall installation, we recommend mixing varying shades randomly.

Room conditions

The room temperature should be between 18-50 C°. The air humidity should be between 25-60%. The humidity in the under-laying construction (concrete) should not be higher than 15%.

Wall construction

Gustafs Capax System can be used on most types of surfaces. Be sure the sub construction is suited for heavy loads, this applies in particular to high walls and large areas.

Step by step for Linear Plank or Plank-P

STEP 1&2

1. For acoustic wall installations, start installing battens using a laser alignment and fill the cavities with insulation. For more information see Gustafs technical drawings and step 5 below.

2. Install the first Capax profile 3231 using a laser. Remove any debris that may have fallen into the profile.

STEP 3&4

3. Place the first Plank on Capax 3231 and secure with a vertical profile, use Capax 3201 for closed joints or Capax 3206 for open joints.
An installation with 3206 will be demountable.

4. Continue with the next Plank repeating step 3. You can also saw the Planks on site if necessary. Be sure to polish the edges of the panel after cutting.

STEP 6

6. Finish with mouldings and corner solutions.

All corner and end solutions for Gustafs Panels can also be used for Gustafs Planks and Plank-P.
