Gustafs Scandinavia – since 1913

A living history – full version

100 years and counting

Scandinavian wood culture since 1913

It was in 1913 that Andreas Tunander moved with his family to Gustafs and bought Gustafs Wood Processing AB. It is over one hundred years since Gustafs started its special carpentry shop activities. The bulk of what we produce today still has its origins firmly in the county of Dalarna where, carpentry and craftsmanship remains and follows in a long line of traditional woodcraft. This local connection strengthens us with our partners and on our markets not least in our export countries. Our products are the essence of Scandinavian design.

A LIVING HISTORY

A Modern Joinery

Today Gustafs is a leading manufacturer of sophisticated wooden panels and fittings for public interiors. Wall and ceiling claddings in wood are our specialties. Material knowledge linked with installation know-how is an integral part of the “Gustafs touch” becoming part and parcel of all we set out to achieve. Wherever you are you are always close to us. We have sales offices throughout the world. To offer you the service and support you require we have many local agents and sales representatives near you. They can help you with construction details and technical suggestions which will ensure you the right choice of material and solution for your project.

OUR PROCESS

A LIVING HISTORY

With Modern Products

The Gustafs products are based on pure and natural materials fulfilling environmental demands and offering limitless design possibilities. The inbuilt technical properties meet today’s high fire retardation demands as well as offering a wide range of acoustic properties. Together, these properties and our added attention to detail achieve a product of the highest quality. We are the market leader throughout Scandinavia. The experience we have gathered with numerous projects in Europe and Asia along with our expertise in the production of wooden interior products has opened up a global market for us.

Creating the right kind of echo

DALARNA OUR HOME

Green Gustafs

It has been said that Dalarna is like Sweden in a miniature. The mountains, the lakes, the forests, the craft tradition and the industrial history. Everything gathered up close. Living and working as we do in the forest and pastoral landscape around Gustafs in the region of Dalarna we are reminded daily of our responsibility for our environment both locally and in a global perspective. Our factory therefore, has an active and progressive environmental program.

ABOUT

Corporate Responsibility

Gustafs has a long history regarding sustainable development and ethical standards.

We follow architects all around the world and today our business covers most regions of the world. While growing our international business, we realized the importance of valuing different backgrounds.

Working multi-cultural, we will never adapt to one issue – corruption, one of the greatest treats for the world’s economy. We and our business partners promote an ethical business under all circumstances.

Gustafs works actively with social sustainability. Avoiding all forms of discrimination and stimulating good emancipation, fair trade and human rights are a part of our daily agenda and also a reference when selecting new suppliers.

Our whistle blower culture is an important function, so that all employees can give direct feed-back to management on perceived or seen wrong doings non-conform our policies.

Quality

Our goal is to be a competitive and successful company by supplying products exceeding expectations, in the correct quantity on the promised date.

Our most important measure of quality is our customer’s satisfaction. All our commitment and endeavour shall reflect our customer’s expectations.

We shall strive to maintain our customers trust for Gustafs as their chosen supplier. Each delivery shall be a recommendation for future business.

Our Mission

Is to make the experience in large rooms greater.

We want to stimulate the creation of beautifully designed environments inspired by nature where people experience harmony.

With passion for materials, modern technology and personal support we simplify the creation of pleasant environments with creative design.

We make great surfaces for walls and ceilings.
