The Brunel Building at the Southmead Hospital, Bristol has been awarded best healthcare design. Gustafs, together with LSA Projects Ltd, has supplied over 2000 m² panels to clad the lift cores and walls of the main hospital atrium. The prize was awarded in London last week.
The awards celebrate and recognise professional excellence in the design of healthcare environments both in Europe and around the world. The building, designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent with a carbon footprint below government targets, is the most sustainable major acute hospital in the UK.
